Empowered woman embracing spirituality and self-expression – a reflection on feminism, sacred sexuality, and personal growth.

What Is Feminism?

Once you get to know me, you’ll notice I’m not one for labels. I prefer to see the world as it is—ever-changing, fluid, and evolving. The one universal truth we all share is change, and that’s why I find it radical to put people, ideas, or movements into rigid boxes, denying their right to transform.

Now, with that being said—feminism. Am I a feminist?

Whenever someone asks me this, my immediate answer is, “Yes, of course! I am a woman. I believe in equality. I honor the undeniable power that resides within every woman.” But to my surprise, many of my friends—especially women—interpret this as something more. Some assume it means I am against men, that I reject traditional relationships, or that I engage in radical protests. Not that I judge any of it—but for me, this is not what feminism is about.

Feminism, like any powerful movement, is multi-dimensional. Its definition shifts depending on who is speaking. But after seeing these misconceptions time and time again, I felt the need to put into words what feminism means to me.

Feminism Is About Balance and Awakening

To me, feminism is the turning point where men and women, regardless of creed, color, race, or gender identity, recognize the intrinsic value of every human being. Feminism is not about division—it’s about restoring balance. It’s the necessary movement that helps elevate collective consciousness toward a more loving, equitable reality.

It’s not about fighting against—it’s about moving toward. Toward awareness, toward transformation, toward a world where love, acceptance, and empathy are not just ideals, but foundations. When we embody these values within ourselves, we create a mirror for others to do the same.

Feminism is not a war—it is an awakening.

Light and love,
Andrea
